Karen’ s roundup of the Joaquin rollercoaster year….

So we have come to the end of 2010. What a year it was for us. Here is a brief reminder of the year we have had:

January saw the return of our man with the shock day of our lives when he showed up in the TWLOHA video with Miley Cyrus and Liv Tyler. A quite breathtaking day.
February brought the launch of JoaquinPhoenixCentral and It’s All About Joaquin
March saw Joaquin attending the pre Oscar parties and stating for the first time that he would return to his craft, acting…
April had Joaquin attending a flux of parties, introducing us mere mortals to Sunset Towers and then by the end of the month, a certain Casey Affleck attended The Killer Inside Me premiere and let slip that THE documentary was on it’s way
May brought mega excitement as we learnt I’m Still Here had been shown to buyers in New York. By the end of the month, Casey and Diddy began their defence of I’m Still Here, insisting it was not a hoax
June sees our man leaving Plan B Strip club, ever by his side was Amanda Demme. Meanwhile Magnolia announce they have bought I’m Still Here
July had film rumours galore for our man, not least Nicholas Pileggi’s new script for The Butcher, Tommy Pitera. July ended badly though with Casey Affleck being cited in an I’m Still Here sexual harrassment suit.
August came the trailer for I’m Still Here and the announcement that it would premiere at Venice film festival
September saw our super sexy guy stepping off a water taxi onto the Lido at Venice Film Festival. The film opened and later on that month, the USA, UK and Australia finally saw the eagerly awaited I’m Still Here. On the eve of these dates, Casey Affleck finally conceded and admitted that the film was indeed, a hoax. The announcement for ‘Big Shoe’ came and Joaquin appeared on the Jimmy Kimmel show and a much hyped 2nd chance on Letterman made September a total Joaquie fest for us
October was the birthday boy’s month and he was seen Rocking The Vote and then threw us a bone with the Flaunt Magazine article.
November brought us the news that Big Shoe could be a goer which would be great news for Jennifer Aniston as she stepped in line announcing that she too had a crush on our guy
December had Joaquin on the phone to Australia, maybe checking out the I’m Still Here royalties! The film was featured in many ‘bests’ and ‘worsts’ of 2010 showing that in the end, the film’s success could be brought down to just personal choice, which seems fitting to me and hopefully to Joaquin and Casey.

So there you have it…..a bumper year and rollercoaster ride as usual. However, would we really have it any other way?!!
We wish a Happy New Year to all our website and forum friends and of course to our man, Joaquin…..Could 2011 bring that elusive film news we so badly want? Let’s hope so! See you all next year…..
