For those of you who have seen the film The Ides of March (dir George Clooney)recently, you surely cannot have failed to notice the quite brilliantunderstated performance from Phillip Seymour Hoffman as Paul Zara, GovernorMike Morris’ (George Clooney) campaign manager.
From the moment he steps onto the screen to the his last scene at the funeral,he is quite magnificant. Now if you are wondering what has this all gotto do with a certain Joaquin Phoenix……wonder no more! It has sent us hereat JPC into an absolute frenzy of excitement as we have both of these actors tolook forward to next year (or early 2013). The very thought of those twoworking together was of course mouth watering and yes, when we heard, most ofus were delighted……However, reality has knocked on our door…..the pennyhas dropped……Finally!!
Paul Thomas Anderson…….Phillip Seymour Hoffman and Joaquin RafaelPhoenix……..working together!!!! It doesn’t get any better than that.
Following on from that, a slightly altered synopsis has come out from Collider:
